Nine ways we keep your plants alive
Everything we do starts with the same question: where will this plant actually live? Pick the help you need — the studio on Stikliu g. 8 does the rest.
-
Plants matched to your light
Tell us which way your windows face and we pick from the curated shelf — a monstera for a bright corner, a ZZ plant for a hallway that gets almost nothing.
-
Beginner and advanced workshops
Two hours, eight people, one table of soil. Beginners leave with a potted plant and a watering plan; advanced sessions cover propagation, pruning and pests.
-
Repotting and the plant doctor
Bring in the plant that is dropping leaves. We diagnose root rot, thrips or plain thirst, repot it into the right mix and send it home with notes.
-
Office green-scaping
Small studios and offices in the old town: we plan the planting, install it, and come back on a schedule so nobody has to remember whose turn it is.
-
Handmade ceramic pots
Thrown by Lithuanian potters in terracotta and matte green glazes, with drainage holes that actually work. Sized to the plants we sell.
-
Plant-care kits
Moisture meter, pruning snips, a gentle fertiliser and the right soil mix — the four things that make the difference, in one box.
-
A written watering plan
Every plant leaves the studio with a card: how much water, how often in summer and winter, and the two signs that say stop.
-
Low-light champions
A whole shelf for north-facing flats and basements: snake plants, pothos and ferns that forgive a dim corner.
-
Aftercare, not just a sale
Send a photo to hello@fernwood.lt and we answer. Plants bought at Fernwood come with as many questions as you need to ask.
One plant, one honest review
-
I had killed three plants in the same north-facing corner before I walked into Stikliu g. 8, Vilnius. Fernwood asked which way the window faced, handed me a snake plant instead of the fig I wanted, and wrote the watering plan on a card. Two years on it has outgrown the shelf — and when the leaves went soft last winter the plant doctor repotted it the same afternoon.
Bring one plant home this week
Tell us which way your window faces and we will match the plant, the pot and the watering plan to it — in the studio at Stikliu g. 8, Vilnius, open Tue–Sun 10:00–19:00.
